Founder & CEO
Peter Gyamesi
Peter founded Rohnvest because he believed Africa's best founders deserve better investors. He sets the firm's thesis and leads the partnerships and capital that bring it to life.
Background & Experience
Peter started Rohnvest with a simple conviction: the most ambitious founders building across Africa are underserved by capital, and the right investor can change what they're able to build.
That belief comes from nearly fifteen years working across African and international markets. He spent most of his career in international taxation and corporate finance in the global energy sector. Most recently he was Group Tax Manager at Petrofac in the UAE. Before that he spent over seven years at TechnipFMC, where he held roles as UK Tax Controller in Aberdeen, International Tax Manager for Africa, and Finance Manager in Accra. He was also Financial Controller for Ericsson's Sub-Saharan Africa region, after starting out in finance roles in Ghana.
Across all of these roles he saw up close how capital moves around the world, and how often it fails to reach the African businesses that need it most.
Peter is an ACCA-qualified accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University. He founded Rohnvest to put everything he'd learned to work for the founders shaping the continent's future.
